About Me
I am a fourth-year MD candidate at the University of California, San Diego School of Medicine. I value working with patients who have psychiatric conditions clinically, while also working to create changes at a population level to better serve these patients. I am especially interested in population health research and translating what I have learned into policies and health systems practice.
I also have a long-term interest in medical trainee mental health, and I have been grateful to have worked with my school in several capacities to support my peers.Â

I owe an additional thank you to the faculty of the UCSD Department of Psychiatry for their clinical training and support. I am also very lucky to have worked with wonderful clinicians and educators across many departments who have helped me become a well-rounded, curious, and eager future physician.

I would also like to thank the UCSD School of Medicine leadership for actively involving me in several efforts to facilitate better physical and mental health for medical students. From sitting on the Medical Student Mental Health Council, to co-designing the Willo application, and then serving on LCME accreditation workgroups, it has been an honor to serve my peers. Special thanks to Vice Dean for Medical Education, Dr. Michelle Daniel, for continuing to support this work.Â
Ongoing Projects
CAPSTONE RESEARCH
Creating a Medical Home for Severe or Treatment Resistant Depression within Psychiatry

A research study, mentored by UCSD Health Psychiatrist-in-Chief Dr. Steve Koh, focused on understanding the opportunities and challenges to building a disease-specific medical home model within psychiatry. We seek to understand how we can build a clinical model that serves patients with severe or treatment resistant depression by using psychiatry as a medical home and reverse integrating primary care and other services into psychiatric care. This is designed to be the basis for future business plans and real clinical models.
CLINICAL INFORMATICS
UCSD Health Epic Cosmos Superuser
As a Superuser within Epic Cosmos at UCSD Health, I have the ability to query de-identified records from over 300 million patient records. Included patients have received care at health systems that are a part of this unique program, including institutions in all 50 states and several international sites. As a trained and certified Superuser, I am a part of the UCSD Health Epic Cosmos workgroup and also conduct research and assist faculty and trainees with their projects. Future projects that I will lead focus on health disparities in psychiatry and medical outcomes in patients with psychiatric conditions.Â
